Design will recognizable
This mind hack dates back to my time in university. When looking at a design where I thought something was missing, but there it was obvious, somebody did put some thought into it, I recognized the design intent by saying in German: “Gestaltungswille erkennbar.” Best translated with “Design will recognizable”.
I forgot about it for some time, and when a good friend told me that he still uses it in the offices he works in. But now I use it again when I see that somebody is trying hard, often without considering the user’s / client’s needs.
